La Taverna is a Brunswick East original that has been operating for over 50 years (and not to be confused with newcomer Taverna, a unrelated Greek restaurant also on Lygon St).

Rose and Lawrence took over La Taverna in 1989 and have been making great pizzas and pasta ever since, you'll find them in the kitchen every night working hard. They've made a few changes over the years but perhaps more important is how they've kept up the consistency for decades. It's hard to imagine a place more deserving of a place in Neighbo's Trusted locals category.
