Taverna is a 2025 addition to Brunswick East that brings classic Athenian Greek food to the area, a cuisine which was curiously lacking given the historically high prevalence of Greek immigrants in the area. This is the new generation of Greek food in Brunswick, classic but good.

Don't confuse Taverna with La Taverna though; La Taverna is longstanding Italian restaurant that has been a few blocks south on Lygon Street for over 50 years.
